Elizabeth has been with Carroll & Wallace since 2008*, first as a law student and then as a lawyer following her Call to the Bar in 2014. Over her years at the firm, Elizabeth has been the beneficiary of extensive mentorship from the lawyers at Carroll & Wallace, including Bill Carroll, who was her articling principal. Elizabeth practises exclusively in the area of Criminal Defence and has appeared as counsel before the Ontario Court of Justice, the Ontario Superior Court of Justice and the Ontario Court of Appeal. During her time at Carroll & Wallace, Elizabeth has worked on hundreds of different matters, including public inquiries, criminal charges, regulatory charges, professional discipline matters and quasi-criminal matters.
Elizabeth is a graduate of the University of Ottawa's Juris Doctor program, as well as Carleton University's Criminology program, where she graduated with High Honours and a Concentration in Law. Elizabeth is a Part-Time Professor teaching law students in the Ticket Defence Program Legal Clinic run in association with her alma mater, the University of Ottawa Law School. The TDP Clinic assists low income individuals for free with Provincial Offences Act tickets. Elizabeth also acts as a Supervising Lawyer with the Clinic.
Elizabeth is a member of the Defence Counsel Association of Ottawa, the Criminal Lawyers' Association and the Carleton County Law Association. Elizabeth is also licensed to practise law in Nunavut.
